This step marks the end of the cutting process; it is a kind of final bouquet. For this reason, a large part of our R&D is dedicated to its development in order to make this process ever more cost effective and productive for our customers.
This final step in the cutting process has long been considered optional.
Vacher Marcel’s teams were keen to combine their expertise to make this step non-optional in a bid to mainstream it by rendering it more cost effective for our customers.
Blanking has become a major issue. It improves factory productivity and eliminates musculoskeletal disorders linked to manual stripping operations.
Vacher has innovated in this field for a number of years; we were the first French diemaker to offer the angle lock solution, and the first to implement the Bobst quick set blanking tool. On this basis, we developed our own blanking tool: the ‘quick set evo’. It has the advantages of being lightweight, less bulky, faster to implement, and, above all, less expensive.
